Dr. Frederick Nwosu developed the models below. He makes their details available upon request in form of conceptual frameworks to individuals conducting research in the pertinent areas.

Qualitative Research Data Handling (QRDH) Method

Dr. Frederick Nwosu – June 8, 2011

In handling qualitative research data, researchers often get carried away because of the almost nonexistent algorithm for handling interview responses. When I compared the process we have used for ages in quantitative research, I see still the need to make some adjustments. However, the need to make adjustments applies more to the qualitative research process than to the quantitative because quantification of variables helps to keep the quantitative process stable as against the sole reliance on verbiage in qualitative research. The need to make adjustments is also urgent to assist the teeming population of qualitative researchers across academic and professional platforms.

I created the Qualitative Research Data Handling Method to keep qualitative researchers in check, and to enable the researchers hold each other accountable in the quality of research studies they churn out from their stables. The QRDH Method involves the presentation of steps in a logical manner for all qualitative researchers to follow. The sequence is simple and straightforward for all researchers at all levels to comply. The process is wholesome and leaves no room for guesswork. Following the sequence will confirm the quality of a researcher’s data. After using diverse creative and on-the-spur-of-the-moment approaches to handle the responses from research participants, I identified this process as unique. I tested the process multiple times and concluded on the veracity of the method.

The quality of a researcher’s data earns the confidence of research users and other researchers only when a researcher begins the quality consciousness from the first interaction with the participant. In the course of interviewing a participant, a researcher should not focus only on the words coming out. The researcher should not be mechanical. The researcher should not allow any extraneous factors to becloud the interview atmosphere and environment, whether in the researcher’s or the participant’s thoughts and physical space. The researcher must use some form of technology to capture the participant’s responses. The researcher must make two simultaneous notes (a) participant’s nonverbal cues, and (b) unique usages the participant pronounces. When these elements are implemented, the researcher has laid a good foundation for a quality study. The Qualitative  Research Data Handling Method (Frederick Nwosu Method) laid out below requires:

1.      Writing down the answers participants provide.

2.      Ensuring instant and follow-up member checking for accurate representation of the thoughts and intentions of interviewees.

3.      Compiling response data in identifiable groups and clusters.

4.      Removing any pieces of information that might not align with the purpose of this study.

5.      Coding obvious themes.

6.      Coding emerging or unanticipated themes.

7.      Matching themes from the literature review and the conceptual framework with themes from participant responses.

8.      Labeling all pieces of data in an organized manner for ease of analysis.

9.      Ensuring all written materials are accurate.

10.  Ensuring contextual alignment of response data with critical elements of the study such as the conceptual framework.

11.  Creating textural identification to mirror participants’ experience.

12.  Double-checking data against the applicable content of the proposal.

With all above QRDH elements in place, raw data entering the analysis activity will produce refined usable data with quality that is acceptable to research users and other researchers.

Theory of Unstoppable Pounding.

(Anthony Joshua Model)

This 2016 model circumscribes an aggressive pursuit of task execution within a minimum time-frame. This model underguards the theory of unstoppable pounding built around the demonstration of a need to complete a task. Professor Frederick Nwosu developed the Anthony Joshua Model after watching British pugilist Anthony Joshua’s fights and noticed the mood, tenacity, intensity, aggressiveness, time-sensitivity, result-orientation, serious-mindedness, control, and throughput finishing the British pugilist demonstrated in each of the tournaments. The pugilist rotates at a proverbial rate of ‘300,000 revolutions per second’. Anthony Joshua Model instructs researchers, business practitioners, and all persons seeking results in all fields of human existence those traits this British pugilist has used to execute all his 15 fights with Knock-Out will work when applied anywhere. Professor Frederick Nwosu tested the model with his To-Do List for some days and concluded that the model was valid. Users of the model must be prepared for negative outcomes from extraneous factors also regarded as external environment. Human factors may feel isolated, complain, and possibly do some damage. While the user of this model is guaranteed the results, the user must find ways and means to keep relationships and affiliations alive. Using Anthony Joshua Model involves blocking out all mental, psychological, or physical interference. A user of the model must focus ONLY on the task at hand. As long as the task at hand is not yet completed, the user of this model will continue on the task without paying attention to social, economic, political, or other events, no matter how important those events might seem. Business organizations may apply this model when advertising their products to capture the leading market share. Political parties may apply this model in prospecting for new members or when going after their potential voters. Men and women vying social relevance may apply this model. Local, national, or international governments wanting to solve social ills may apply Anthony Joshua Model. This model is known as Anthony Joshua Model, Theory of Unstoppable Pounding, and ‘300Krps’.
